Meet Your Instructor
François Yvon Deslauriers has a graduate degree in androgyny from the University of Sherbrooke. He has over 35 years of service in the Government of Canada (CSIS) as inspector/investigator and instructor in various technical programs related to security and counter-espionage. He was program manager, participated in several research and development projects, provided training in several levels and developed specific tools in the field of counter-surveillance.

Overview: This course offers a preview of a TSCM technician required skills & knowledge and his expected tasks & responsibilities
Target Audience: Inspectors wishing to provide effective TSCM services to their clientele. Anyone wishing to learn more about TSCM & the security field.

TSCM Basics 201
Duration: 5 Days
Overview: This training covers a wide range of subjects who will help the student to be effective in basic TSCM inspection. The student will learn how to approach his client, ask the right questions and be able to plan for the survey and if needed a technical inspection. At the end, he will learn how to provide his client with a detailed report.
Prerequisite: 
  • Knowledge of TSCM, building architecture and building systems. (Note: in cases of scheduling conflicts, preferential treatment will be given to graduates from the 101 class)
  • Technical background in electronic and mathematics.
